The Ribbleton Butterfly - A Sign of the Times
That's the new symbol for our parish, showing itself off at the top of the page.
Yes, it's a butterfly; a sign of new life as it emerges from its chrysalis. A sign of hope and resurrection.
There are three strands to its body, representing the Trinity of Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
Each wing is a flame, like the flames of Pentecost when the Holy Spirit gave power and courage to the disciples to spread the Gospel - the Good News of Jesus.
You'll be seeing this butterfly spreading its wings all around the parish over the coming months.

The Road to Easter...-> This Way!
In Ribbleton Parish we're making our journey through Lent towards Easter with services and activities.
Lent is the period of six weeks leading up to Easter when we try particularly hard to see and understand ourselves the way God does, so that we're ready for recalling Jesus' suffering, execution and rising to life through Holy Week, Good Friday and Easter Day. As we do that, we pray that we'll grow in faith, and become more effective servants of all God's people in whatever way he calls us.
There's a lot going on in Ribbleton Parish during Lent. The best way to keep up is to follow the Ribbleton Parish Facebook page - click here.
