While we look forward to the appointment of a new Rector, our pattern of Sunday services will vary from week to week, depending on whether we have a visiting priest to celebrate the Eucharist with us. Please click on THIS WEEK for details.
Being the Church following the coronavirus precautions
There is a service each Sunday, in The Ascension at 9.30am, and in St Mary Magdalene's at 11am, and also every Wednesday at 10am at St Mary Magdalene's, with the church remaining open for private prayer until 12noon.
The 'Place of Welcome' at The Ascension is open on Thursday mornings from 10am to noon. Drop in for a chat and a brew.
There are now no legal restrictions about Covid-19 safety; but while the infection levels in our parish are dropping, we ask you to continue to be careful in our churches. If you have had a positive test for Covid-19, please still stay at home until the infection has cleared. Some of our members are vulnerable, and to help keep them safe we ask you to wear a mask if you have any kind of infection that could be passed on, such as 'flu or a heavy cold, and not to get too close to other people.
If you are in any way particularly vulnerable to the effects of Covid-19, you may still feel you would be better praying at home. Although you are not praying in the church, you will still be praying with the Church.
Whether or not we worship together, we are all still The Church. For those who want to continue to worship God at home with prayer and the weekly Bible readings, or are looking for suggestions of other resources to use at home, these can be found by clicking on 'This Week'.
