The Ribbleton Butterfly - A Sign of the Times
This is the symbol for our parish, showing itself off at the top of the page.
Yes, it's a butterfly; a sign of new life as it emerges from its chrysalis. A sign of hope and resurrection.
There are three strands to its body, representing the Trinity of Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
Each wing is a flame, like the flames of Pentecost when the Holy Spirit gave power and courage to the disciples to spread the Gospel - the Good News of Jesus.
You'll be seeing this butterfly spreading its wings all around the parish.
