Baptism
The Church of England offers the sacrament of Baptism (known to many in today's society as Christening) to all who wish to be Baptised, and to children whose parents wish them to be Baptised.
As you will be making serious promises, either on your own behalf or on your children's, we expect you to attend one of our Baptism preparation classes on a Monday evening at 7pm in St. Mary Magdalene's.
This will give you the opportunity to find out what is involved in the service and also to ask any questions that you might want to ask.

You may choose to have you child's Baptism either at St. Mary Magdalene's or the Church of the Ascension. Ordinarily, Baptism services take place at 12:45pm or 1:45pm on a Sunday, however, in exceptional circumstances, alternative arrangements can be made.
Please note that more than one family may have their children baptised in the same service. We apologise for the inconvenience that this may cause but it is due to the high demand for Baptism.
There is no statutory fee for Baptism (though we welcome and appreciate voluntary contributions to the work of the Parish)!

With beautiful architecture, stained glass windows and well-kept grounds, it is a photographers dream.
